John Henry letter, 11 June 1863; 5 September 1863.

These letters were written by John Henry while serving as a member of Company F of the 23rd Indiana Regiment. They were written to his wife. In the June 11 letter, he wrote about the siege of Vicksburg. In the September 5 letter, he wrote about camp life, his health, and his happiness that Fort Sumter and Charleston had been taken over by Union forces.
